👨🏻💻 I’m a Research Scientist at Radical Numerics, based in Tokyo, Japan. Previously, I worked at Sakana AI.
🔬 My research interests are in Open-ended Learning using large foundation models!
📽️ I am also interested in assisting others on their path into the world of Machine Learning and academia.
I worked in many domains of ML, but most recently, I worked on Open-endedness leveraging large foundation models and reinforcement learning for (multimodal) LLMs.

Another year of intense but fun AI research has passed since I joined Sakana AI, and we are now parting ways.
I learned a lot, will hopefully soon release my work, and, most importantly, met so many amazing people!

After one long year of special ✨ conference submission, review, and rebuttal phases, my paper for my master’s thesis was finally accepted at the ICCV 2025 MRR Workshop.

In November 2024, I joined Sakana AI as a research scientist exploring ideas like latent reasoning by combining diffusion models with LLMs, RL for Webagents, and (most excitingly) Open-endedness through large foundation models!

After 6 years of studying (including my bachelor's/undergraduate studies), I finally graduated with first-class honors!
